Give Young People the Knowledge that Will Last Them a Lifetime

Some of life’s most important lessons aren’t taught in school. Like how to run a household, manage a monthly budget or buy a house. But now students can learn all of the budgeting and finance skills they’ll need to become financially-responsible adults at Quicken Loans JA Finance Park.

Quicken Loans JA Finance Park is a Junior Achievement program that teaches financial literacy concepts and career exploration opportunities. At the end of the program, students have a one-day budget simulation where they’ll put their knowledge into practice. The result? An understanding of the importance of developing a personal budget, maintaining good credit and recognizing the true cost of financing purchases.

Join your fellow FPA of Michigan members on Wednesday, May 8th

for a day of volunteering at Junior Achievement's Finance Park (on Larned Street in Downtown Detroit --- free parking provided).  We will spend the day helping students at the center.  The day begins at about 8:30 am with 30 minutes of informal training and the students arrive about 9:00 or 9:30 am.  The day ends around 2:30 pm with lunch provided.
