Join the Palm Beach County Planning Congress in beautiful Islamorada for a weekend of good friends, good food and good times. This is a family event with snorkeling, boating, fishing, BBQ, shrimp boil, volleyball, watching football, or just loafing by the pool.
If you have never attended this event, please consider coming. The Planning Congress reserves a cabin right on the beach for general use and for hosting breakfast for everyone. The cabin has a porch where we set up a TV for football watching. Friday night is a "Bill-B-Q" where Bill Nemser cooks up a welcome feast. Typically we rent a boat to take snorkelling trips out to the lighthouse that is directly offshore from the hotel on Saturday. Saturday night is Dave Flinchum's famous Shrimp Boil. You can come and be as busy or as lazy as you like! Monday is Columbus day so you can even extend the weekend if you like.
You can contact the Breezy Palm Hotel for a room toll free at: 877.41.BREEZY
Their website is: http://www.breezypalms.com/
If they are booked, there are a number of other reasonably priced hotels in the immediate vicinity.
The costs for this event to cover food and expenses are shared by the participating group and are paid on the last official day of the event (Sunday Morning) based on actual expenses. For past events this has been between $20-$70 per party - depending on number of people in a party and the age of the children in a group and keg utilization.
Please register if you are planning to attend!
