BURST: a runway show of glass couture 

Please join us for an exciting Saturday night experience featuring glass couture under the stunning light of the catwalk; this high-quality event is like no other in Calgary. Each ensemble is artistically designed with glass as the focal point or as an incorporated element. 

BURST celebrates the creativity and artistic nature within fashion, where fantasy and self-expression collide. Working with glass techniques of cast, blown, flame-worked, hot sculpted and cold worked, these artists create assemblages that blur the lines of fashion, art and performance. Regular participants in the international glass couture scene, some of these artists and their designs are traveling from as far away as Tokyo and Sao Paulo.
