SCPA Weekly Circulation Roundtable 


SCPA logoThe S.C. Press Association will host a roundtable on circulation issues for weekly newspapers on Thursday, May 30, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at SCPA Offices in Columbia. This event will feature discussion leaders from our membership and a session with the USPS manager of business mail entries.

From 10 a.m. until noon, discussion topics will include:
• Dealing with mailing issues
• Software, CASS certification
• Promotions that work
• Carrier options

• Tips on maximizing mail service

After lunch, James Duffy, the acting Manager for Business Mail Entry for the S.C. district, will discuss upcoming changes in the state’s service centers and how to best deal with them. He will also offer tips and suggestions to cut down postal delivery problems. He will welcome questions.

We will also hear from NNA postal expert Max Heath on a 30-minute conference call.  Max will bring us up to date on what is happening in Washington with the Postal Service and offer mailing advice.

The cost to attend is $25, which includes a boxed lunch.

• You are also welcome to pay by check. You can select the "Pay by Check" option when checking out and SCPA's address will be listed.
• If you'd like to be invoiced, simply select "Pay at the Door" and we'll email you a PDF invoice that you can submit for payment later.

Participants are asked to send in ideas for discussion topics and specific questions for Heath and Duffy. You can do this directly on the registration form, or by contacting Jen Madden.
