Small Business Seminar: Create Your Own Website with WordPress-Elizabeth City 

Martin Brossman returns to help entrepreneurs on a budget learn how to affordably create websites and blogs.  WordPress is the leading open-source (free) content management platform that is both a website and blog.  For under $100 a year you can have a professional website using the user-friendly web software of WordPress.

In this seminar, attendees will learn:

• How to secure your domain name, choose a graphics theme, and step-by-step guidance for building your site
• Recommended themes, plug-ins and widgets that allow you to customize and enhance your website.
• How to make your site easy for Google to find
• Basic information about search engines, social media and internet marketing
• How to avoid many of the internet scams related to having your own website
