Carnegie Mellon University: Purnell Center for the Arts Chosky Theatre
On May 11, Pittsburgh’s emerging filmmaking talent is showcased by the world class CMU Drama School students as they perform a live table read of the three short scripts of the finalists in the 2013 FILM FACTORY competition and watch and be inspired as our Hollywood hopefuls compete to win up to $30,000 to make their short film and meet face to face with our panel of industry professionals.
This event will be held in honor of the memory of Steeltown’s Co-Founder & Founding Executive Director Ellen Weiss Kander. Join us for the world premiere of a special tribute film about Ellen and her remarkable legacy.
Ellen strongly believed in helping aspiring filmmakers achieve their dreams. We invite you to watch the top three FILM FACTORY finalists compete for the honor of winning the 2nd Annual Ellen Weiss Kander Award.
