Never was there a more perfect twosome than bread and cheese and never was there a more perfect setting to enjoy them than Central Park. Spend a delightful evening tasting the most delectable pairings of Le Pain Quotidien's signature breads each matched with the perfect cheese from Murray's Cheese. Think earthy, sweet sourdough with meaty, savory Quadrello di Bufala or a classic baguette with a point Brie Fermier.
Students will learn the unique history and process behind different breads and cheeses, how to identify flavors, aromas and textures, and most importantly, how to compose and enjoy a unique tasting event of their own.
Classes will be held at the alfresco communal table* at our Mineral Springs store located in Central Park. (The best way to enter the park is at West 69th Street and walk east along the path until you see the small brick building - that's us - just north of the Sheep Meadow.)
*Weather permitting. The event will be held indoors at the same location should inclement weather occur. Participants will be notified ahead of time of any changes.
