MathCounts Fundraiser & Dinner 2014 

Overview

The Northern Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers Colorado is hosting an annual dinner and wine paring event at the Rialto Theater Center in Loveland at 6:00 pm on January 25, 2014. This year our MathCounts fundraiser dinner & wine pairing will feature wines from the Southern Rhone Valley of France, to be served and paired with regional French cuisine from the Southern Rhone area. Mr. Claude Robbins, an internationally recognized Master of Wine and one of only two Master of Wine Educators west of the Mississippi in the United States, will pair each delicious course with the wines while feeding you interesting wine tidbits.

Seating is limited and attendees must pre-register.

 Event Information:

The evening will include a 4-course meal (wine included), silent auction, raffle, and cash bar. Dress code is causal. Checkin begins at 5:30pm.

Food Menu

1st Course: Warm goat cheese stuffed crostini served with beet salad and sherry vinaigrette.

2nd Course: Ratatouille skewers with tomato sauce over orzo.

3rd Course: Duck confit with pommes puree and roasted asparagus.

4th Course: Guyere with a creme angliase truffle honey.

Master of Wine

Claude Robbins has over 30 years of experience teaching wine at the University level, propelled by his Guild Wine Master (GWM) and Guild Master Wine Educator (MWE) certifications.  The International Wine Guild was established to encourage study to develop technical and professional understanding and increased knowledge of wine throughout all areas of the wine and food service industry.  The Guild is dedicated to fostering wine education at the highest levels and helping both wine professionals and wine enthusiasts increase and expand their knowledge and understanding of wine.

Proceeds from the Event

This incredible night of festivities is tailored to raise money for a good cause. Your contribution will help us reach our 2014 goals to provide the Mathletes: transportation to and from the event, assisting with entry fees
for participants, provide food the day of the competition, purchase gifts and trophies for all participants in this region. The proceeds are raised for the local 2014 MathCounts® program. MathCounts® is a nationally recognized mathematics competition providing a fun and challenging math program for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to increase their academic and problem solving skills.
