Happy Springtime! It seems the warm weather is finally here to stay. What better way to kick off the end of the school year and the start of Summer than with the best trail run in Atlanta! 

Come join us at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit for the Fourth Annual Monastery 5K.  Runners and walkers will have a unique opportunity to trek through the peaceful and tranquil surroundings of the wooded monastery landscape. Enjoy the unique and beautiful trail that goes past 3 lakes and breath taking views. 5Krun

Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to come out and enjoy the festivities! The 5K Run/Walk/Jog (3.1miles), offers a diverse outdoor experience for all ages. The 5K will start and end at the Monastery Heritage Center.

This is a fun event for the entire family young and old alike. Cant run, then enjoy a leisurely walk along this scenic landscape.

For those who are interested, you can join the monks before the race for the Community Mass at 7:00 a.m. Please allow ample time to park, register, and walk to the Abbey Church. Race starts immediately after the Mass.

After the race, enjoy food and drink then take the family to visit the Monastic Heritage Center exhibits. You will also shop in the gift shop and Bonsai store or take a leisurely stroll along the lake and picnic area.

The race is chip timed. There will be awards for these age groups, male and female; overall men, women, and masters. 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60+

Registration fee: Girl running
5K Run - $25.00 (with signed waiver)
1.5 Mile Fun Run $15.00
Children under 10 run for free (no-t-shirt)

Registration is limited to 900 participants this year. The proceeds from this event will go toward the Monastery’s outreach to the poor. You can register online (button below). by mail, or you can drop it off at the Monastery gift store.

Arrive Early
Please plan to arrive no later than 7:20 a.m. so you can park and walk to registration and the designated corral at the start line before start of race.   If you are attending Mass at 7:00AM, please allow ample time to park, registerman with child, and walk to the Abbey Church.

Parking
There is ample parking which will be directed by our faithful volunteers from the Knights of Columbus St. Pius X Council 10004

For your safety
For the safety of all participants, pets will not be allowed on the course.  Strollers, baby joggers and wagons are permitted, but you are asked to go to the back of the line for you and other participants safety.  Thank you for your cooperation.
