Join us for a day filled with exciting activities including:

"Mural Painting : Making History Through Art”

Want to express your “artsy” side? Come show off your skills and support our young Towners as they paint a mural honoring the legendary men of the Negro Baseball League who played at Overtown’s historic Dorsey Park. This will be an all day activity so stop by for a minute or get lost in the art for hours. Onlookers and artist of any skill level are welcome! Paint and supplies will be provided.

“Turning Stones into Steps: Learning from our Past to Create a Brighter Future”

“If you don’t know where you’ve been you can’t know where you’re going.” Experience Overtown through the art of storytelling. Hangout with the elders of our community as they share their experiences and stories. Ask questions, share laughs, gain wisdom! Know an elder? Bring them along to share their knowledge!

 “Getting Informed: Community Resource Fair”

Want to know what’s happening in Overtown? Come out and learn about everything Overtown has to offer! Everything from summer camp for the kids to human service and job opportunities; you will find it here!

“Towners Call to Service: Bridging the Gap"

Have ideas you’d like to share? Want to discuss the issues affecting our community? Join in on the conversation about the unique things that make us Towners and how we can carry our community forward. Hear from youth, neighbors, and community organizations and together we’ll examine the issues and next steps for Overtown. Lunch will be served.

Come out to share your ideas and hear from our youth and various community partners. Together, we’ll discuss Overtown’s future and the community assets that will push our community forward!
