NEW Friday Evening Lecture  

We are excited to announce that we have added a Friday Night Lecture to our yearly Radiology CME Conference.

The OHSU Radiology Visiting Professor lecture series is thrilled to welcome Dr. Scott Flamm, Head of the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging, at the Cleveland Clinic in October 2013. Dr. Flamm will present two lectures for the OHSU Imaging Update weekend.  

New to the OHSU Imaging Update is a pre-conference evening for specialized CME.  Friday evening, October 4th, Dr. Flamm will present a talk titled  “Cardiac MR & CT - Clinical Indications for Advanced Imaging", which will cover topics of ischemia and viability imaging in cardiomyopathies.  Friday evenings events will be open to attendees of the OHSU Imaging Update and for other attendees at a reduced fee.  Dr. Christina Fuss will present a talk titled "Why advanced cardiac imaging is important - literat" Friday evening.  A total of 2 hours of CME are available.  The CME program will appeal to Radiologists, Cardiologists, and others interested in cardiovascular imaging.  Philips Healthcare will sponsor the event.

2013 4th Annual OHSU Imaging Update in the Rose City

Course Overview

The course will consist of didactic lectures applying up-to-date imaging technologies with emphasis on improved diagnostic acumen and minimization of additional testing and where appropriate to decrease radiation exposure.

It will aim to Inform of the latest updates and developments in the following areas:

  • Reducing Radiation: Strategies to reduce doses.
  • Cardiac Imaging: Advanced cardiac imaging with MR and CT improves diagnostic sensitivity and specificity in congenital and acquired cardiac diseases. Clinical and imaging approach topics will be discussed.

The course will allow participants to apply this knowledge to their clinical practice while providing insight to possible future development in these areas.

Radiologists, radiologists-in-training and other health professionals interested in the science and practice of radiology.
