Information Literacy
In this workshop, you will learn about information literacy as it relates to library research resources and how you can incorporate these resources, information literacy, and your liaison librarian into your course. We will discuss what information literacy is, what initiatives are underway at the university, and the information literacy competencies from the Association of College and Research Libraries. Then we will look at Library electronic resources and online tools. This portion of the workshop will assist you with using the resources to support and further your own research, as well as in support of your courses. We will look at Quick Search, Library Research Guides, and RefWorks an online citation management tool.
