WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Saturday, October 5, 2013
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Heart-Centered Teaching
Working with children is joyful and rewarding but it also takes great reserves of strength and energy. Discover ways to use nature’s wisdom and become inspired to grow through exploration, discovery and reflection. Heart-Centered teaching begins with the appreciation for the wonders of the world and the people around us. It is a way of teaching that honors individual gifts and helps teachers bring their best selves to their work with children. As a result, children learn authentically. Through interactive nature-rich experiences teachers will discover how awe and wonder encourage learning. They will understand and practice using a new set of “gardening tools” as they cultivate their own heart-centered teaching approach.
Lunch is provided
