In anticipation of regulatory changes proposed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”) that may affect the core responsibilities of your real estate law practice, we will spend an hour talking about where the CFPB came from, what it is doing that will affect you, and how to be prepared in the face of these regulatory changes.

Integrated Disclosure Rules

The CFPB is finalizing rules designed to combine and simplify consumer disclosures for residential real estate transactions. This presentation will summarize the key features of the 1,100 page proposed rule and offer some insight into what to expect when the final rules and forms are published.

Lending Regulation Update

This presentation will provide an overview of new lending regulations faced by financial institutions and the potential impact on mortgage lending and on residential real estate transactions.
