1 Center Plaza Huntington, WV 25701
We regret to inform you that the Huntington Local Food Expo has been post-pone until fall. Due to low farmer registration and the businesses of the summer growing season we are now looking at the fall schedule.
This event is a chance for local food producers to meet food buyers, such as restaurants, institutional food service providers, grocers and wholesalers, who are interested in buying locally. This is the first in a series of several Local Food Expos that the Food & Farm Coaltition will be hosting around the state, with funding from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture and the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant program.
Using our registration form, buyers and producers can also sign up to be listed in a Buyer-Grower Directory specifically for volume buyers and forgrowers interested in volume local food sales. The directory will include useful info about each buyer and grower, will be given to attendees at the Local Food Expo.
Our goal is to help food businesses form new relationships that will increase sales of local fresh fruits and vegetables, reinvesting food dollars into the local economy.
Through our registration form, you can choose to attend the Expo, be listed in the Directory, or both -- for only $15. Your $15 fee covers optional inclusion in the Directory, attendance at the Expo for up to two people from your business, and an optional 8' display table IF you are a food producer or a service provider Food producers are strongly encouraged to bring a second person, so that one person can man the table and one can move around!
Filling out the registration form involves giving some detailed info about your business (to be shown in your directory listing), and may take 15-20 minutes.
We will contact you when the Expo is rescheduled!
