22nd Annual Conference of the ATiiM

LAYING THE GROUND FOR THE CONVERSATION

Anthony Robinson’s book, “Changing the Conversation: A Third Way for Congregations” proposes a “third” way beyond the typical “conservative/ traditional” and “liberal/progressive” arguments and conflicts to move the mission and vitality of the church to new levels.

For that reason clergy are invited and encouraged to invite a lay member to share in the presentations and the beginnings of a new conversation.  To encourage lay participation the fee has been reduced to $95.00 which includes materials, breaks, Wednesday dinner and Thursday lunch.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Anthony B. Robinson,  an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ, has served four congregations-- most recently Plymouth Congregational UCC in Seattle.  Today, his ministry and mission is to “Strengthen Congregations and their Leaders.” He is a Senior Consultant with the Center for progressive Renewal and coordinates the Resource Center for Ministry team of The Samaritan Center of Seattle.

He is a graduate of Willamette University and holds a Masters Degree in Cultural and Intellectual History from the University of Oregon.  He received his Master of Divinity from New York’s Union Seminary and did post graduate study at Harvard Divinity School.
