The first meeting of the Railway Supply Institute Passenger Rail Committee will be on July 11, 2013. This newly formed committee will support, connect and advocate for railway suppliers who provide equipment and services to high speed and intercity passenger rail. In addition, the committee seeks to promote the movement of passengers by rail and represent the supply community on legislation and regulations affecting domestic suppliers and passenger rail systems.
"RSI's Passenger Rail Committee will operate with the goal of increasing supplier visibility in Washington, DC on intercity and high speed passenger rail issues as well as the future funding of rail infrastructure projects," said RSI President Thomas Simpson. "This committee's work will be important, as demand for commuter and intercity passenger rail continues to grow," he noted.
We encourage any member of RSI involved in the passenger rail industry to join this committee and be a part of this important industry forum.
