NEW DATE - Tuesday, August 6th
Bats have a reputation as being spooky or event fearsome, but they are actually some of the most beneficial animals to people. And right now, bats need our help.
Come learn about the amazing, insect-eating, acrobatic bats in your backyard... and what you can do to keep them around! We'll install a bat house on the property, then watch for flying mammals as day turns into night. We'll use an acoustic detector to identify bats as they pass overhead in search of bugs.
Hosted by Back to Nature and led by Conserve Wildlife Foundation bat biologist MacKenize Hall.
