Recently, an article summarized an experiment that Positive Psychologist Dr. Barbara Fredrickson conducted to determine the impact negative and postive thoughts have on imformation processing. The result was the difference in responses among the participants who viewed film strips to stimulate positive, negative, or neural emotions. Participants in the positive groups wrote down a higher number of actions than the neutral and negative group, leading to the discussion of how positive emotions open a sense of possibilities.
