On July 26, we will hear about the utility planning process, and specifically about the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) work that has recently been conducted. An advisory group has been meeting with the utility, PUC, consumer advocate, and other stakeholders for one year to provide input into the utility planning process. Hawaiian Electric Co. published its report on June 28 (we encourage you to look through these documents before the meeting). The next step is a PUC docket to move forward with the report and get more structured involvement from stakeholders, so this is an ideal time for our WiRE community to review the report and have an informal conversation around utility planning. Join WiRE for a panel discussion featuring Jeff Ono, Consumer Advocate; Lisa Giang, HECO; and Isaac Moriwake, Earth Justice (and member of the IRP advisory group). The panel will be moderated by Dawn Lippert of the PICHTR Energy Excelerator (and member of the IRP advisory group).
Friday, July 26, 8:00-9:30 AM, Plaza Club in Honolulu
Breakfast includes coffee, juice, bagels & cream cheese, fruit, and pastries and now hot items!
