What clients say

"Denise's wise counsel and calming presence (not to mention her delightfully sly sense of humor) were invaluable assets in keeping our presenters on-keel and on-track despite a high-profile, high-pressure setting that can unnerve even an experienced speaker. As an added bonus, she's really fun to work with."

The Keys to Confident Public Speaking

It might start long before you speak, right before you go on stage, or when you first open your mouth to speak. Maybe it seems like it's all in your head, or cause physical reactions that range from shortness of breath and blushing to perspiring and shaking. Perhaps you've tried to deal with your public speaking fears or lack of confidence by overpreparing for that tough question that might pop up, or by approaching it as an out-of-body experience. But the results are the same: You dread speaking and don't feel confident about your presentations and public speeches.

The good news: You can get back in charge of your confidence in this hands-on half day workshop. Register today so you can walk away with these solutions you can put to work immediately:

  • Learn how your body and your mind react to speaking fears, and how to check or reverse your mental and physical reactions, right on the spot. You'll learn advance tactics as well as last-minute fixes for your confidence.
  • Learn how your personality preferences influence your speaking fears, and how to work with them rather than against them. You'll learn what happens to your reactions under the stress of speaking, and how to make a course-correction so you're more comfortable. Your prefereneces also impact the way you prepare to speak, so we'll make sure you leave with the right preparation prescription for you.
  • Practice the tactics you're learning, so your body and your mind can remember them when you need them. Learn the speaker's secret weapons for building confidence and give them a test drive, right in the workshop.
  • Get the core checklists from The Eloquent Woman blog, so you can anticipate and eliminate the major tripwires speakers experience in advance. Working with these checklists will help you go into any presentation or speech feeling calmer, more confident and more in control.

You'll leave this session ready to speak and feeling cool, calm and collected about it--and you'll know much more about yourself as a speaker.

The half-day workshop includes your lunch as well as an email full of follow-up links and references you can use to boost your confidence again and again. Register by September 6, 2013 to receive the discounted registration rate of $275. After that date, registration is $300. All registration closes at midnight ET, September 27, 2013. Please read our workshop FAQs and cancellation policy. When you click the link to register, below, you are confirming that you have read and agree with these policies.
