Digital Photography - Beginner 1  - $39

Dive into the exciting world of digital photography! Learn about the basic functions of the most important settings on your camera, important rules in photography that will enhance your shots, and an introduction to digital workflow.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding basic concepts of framing and natural light direction
  • Basic shooting philosophies (portraits, landscapes, architecture)
  • The extreme importance of workflow
  • Learn about aperture priority, shutter priority, ISO and how to use them

What To Bring To Class:

  • a DSLR camera (if you are not sure if you have a DSLR, feel free to email us with the make and model and we will help you determine that)
  • Pen and notebook (or some way of taking notes...iPad, etc.)
  • Walking shoes and attire (we will be going outside to shoot for part of the class)

No need for tripod, flash, camera bag, or other photography tools you may have.  We will not be using them for this class, so no need to bring them and have to keep up with them.

Don't forget to check your camera to make sure the battery is charged and that you have an empty memory card!

Digital Photography - Beginner 1 will be taught by Chris Morris.  Chris has a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and and M.F.A. in PhotographyHe has just moved to Tennessee and is excited to continue teaching photography in conjunction with f/32 Photo.  Look for more class information coming soon! 

This class will be conducted at f/32 Photo (7812 Montvue Center Way - next to West Town Mall), will last approximately one and a half hours, and the cost is $39 per student.  Click on the link below to register for the class!
