For the August Entrepreneurs' Cafe we are bringing Ashoka fellow and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year National Finalist, Farhana Huq.
A Motivational Talk: Surf Your "Wave of Life"
Are you ready to take the leap to craft a business and life you love? Farhana Huq, an award winning social entrepreneur, Surf Life Coach and motivational speaker, will take you on a journey and share with you her lessons learned from surfing her "wave" in business and in life. From being the first South Asian female on the U.S. National Karate team at age 15, to starting a non-profit at age 24, to attempting to become a competitive surfer in her 30s (and falling flat on her face), Farhana believes in our power to transform ourselves and our lives.
She will present an interactive talk that will challenge you to make transitions, and to take your leap towards your most awesome and authentic life. She'll also share her experience starting Brown Girl Surf, a journey to highlight the stories of trailblazing female surfers from around the world, and share the surprising lessons learned from her most recent journey to meet South Asia's most unexpected risk takers - the surfer girls of India and Bangladesh!
After the talk, she will lead an interactive coaching exercise helping you to discover your personal values and to explore how to honor them in service to creating your most authentic business and life.
