The Water Use Classification of Landscape Species (better known as WUCOLS) provides guidance to landscape professionals in the selection of plants, while taking into account their water needs. It also serves as a guide to assist in the development of irrigation schedules for existing landscapes.

Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscaper CEUs are approved. Graduates of the QWEL training program can claim 2 CEUs for attending the WUCOLS Redux event, which is the full annual requirement to report. Other CEUs from other organizations are pending.
