Come learn what LinkedIn is and how to use it effectively for your business.

This workshop will give you everything you need to get connected with your clients, customers and colleagues. The goal of this workshop is to take you beyond receiving requests to join LinkedIn and have you begin leveraging the power of LinkedIn.  You’ll learn about its’ benefits and how to get started using them right away.  Come learn in an interactive classroom setting with an instructor who is prepared to answer your questions.

In this “hands-on environment” we will review LinkedIn’s features and discuss how to make them work for you and your business. You will be building up your LinkedIn profile, so get ready to get connected!

Here’s what this class will teach you:

  • What LinkedIn is and why you should be using it for your business;
  • How to build a great personal profile to enhance your brand;
  • How to manage privacy settings;
  • How to respond to messages and invitations; and
  • How to build relationships that are key to your success.

At the end of this three hour workshop, you will:

  • Understand how to use LinkedIn for business purposes;
  • Know how to use this platform to build your brand;
  • Be able to control what other people see; and
  • Know how to engage with your customers and respond to requests.

This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your laptop.

Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed to meet the needs of people who are on LinkedIn, but have not used it and/or do not know how to use it effectively.


  • Basic PC skills and internet knowledge are required;
  • You must have a working email address and know the password;
  • Optional: Please bring a USB flash drive containing your headshot or photo for your profile picture.

This workshop will be held in a computer lab, however, all participants are free to bring their laptops.  Registration is limited to 35 participants.
