Turning Content Into A Show

With Kelly Swanson
How to use stories, humor, characters, and other ideas to turn content into a show.

Attendees will learn from award-winning storyteller, comedian, motivational speaker, and author of “Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale?” Kelly Swanson, as she takes you to Prides Hollow to meet the wacky cast of characters who have charmed audiences from coast to coast. Kelly will show you how she finds material, develops characters, writes comedy bits and stories, comes up with creative ways to illustrate content, and weaves it all together in a one-woman show that balances entertainment and content. Bring an idea that needs work, a story that needs developing, or a comedy bit that needs help.

About Kelly Swanson  Kelly Swanson is an award-winning storyteller, comedian, motivational speaker, and author of “Who Hijacked My Fairy Tale?”  Her career began 23 years ago, as a professional storyteller, where she created and fell in love with a town she calls Prides Hollow, and a cast of characters who make you laugh, motivate you, and delight you at every turn. When she’s not traveling the world making people laugh, she’s a frazzled wife and mom, trying to convince her family that chocolate is a food group. The Optimist and the Realist: Wisdom from the Jammies and the Bra

With Wendy Hanson, M.Ed, CPPC and Rebecca Morgan, CSP, CMC

Two of NSA/NC's savviest and most successful women will share some of their best uncommon wisdom with their natural wit and humor. You'll learn what they wish they had heard early in their careers, and what practices they still work to integrate. You'll hear how they see other speakers shoot themselves in the foot. They'll share their observations from decades in the coaching and speaking business -- you may be surprised what comes out of the jammies and the bra!
