Every year ISH brings together internationally acclaimed scholars together to our largest event: The Psychotherapy and Faith Conference.
The mental health field contains some of the most important relationships between spirituality and health, yet these connections are often understudied and misunderstood. ISH seeks to educate and equip mental health professionals as well as the lay public to understand the ways in which spirituality and mental health are in conversation.
We are proud to announce our 2013 P+F Speakers:
Jon Allen, Ph.D. – Hope in Human Attachment and Spiritual Connection
Lisa Miller, Ph.D. – Spirituality Protects Against Recurrence of Depression: Science at Multiple Levels of Analysis
Stephen G. Post, Ph.D. – Hope, Spirituality and the Deeply Forgetful: Caregivers and Perspective
Geraldine (Geri) Fox, M.D., MHPE, FAACAP – Is it God or My Conscience? The Development of Empathy and Ethics in Children
