"Drawing from Life"

With simple drawing tools, we trust our eyes and ‘allow the hand to follow’ in basic drawing techniques. Using pencil and pen, we find contour, volume and gesture by responding to immediate visual cues. This drawing process encourages us to see what we are looking at and to exercise our skills of visual contact. All levels of experience are welcomed. Materials will be provided including paper, pencils and pens.

Objective: To feel the excitement of trusting our own eyes and the validity of making marks with our own hands; to develop empathy through the acts of observation and openly listening.
