Fertile Ground Yoga Classes

Fertile Ground Yoga classes are for women who are facing fertility challenges and who are looking for a safe place to nurture their bodies, minds and spirits along the way. Whether you are trying to conceive naturally, going through assisted reproductive treatments, grieving a loss, or considering other family-building options, there is a space for you here. Class includes meditation, group support, yoga, self-inquiry and guided relaxation to enhance your fertility and support your vitality. We are are excited to offer this opportunity to our patients for deeper relaxation and connection with others on this journey.

We are thrilled to announce that this upcoming session will be taught by Tara Emrick, MSW, CYT.

Tara Emrick, MSW, CYT was introduced to yoga through dear friends in San Francisco.  Her yoga practice did not begin until 2006 after losing her younger brother, Matt.  Yoga became an integral part of her grief journey, allowing her a safe place to sit with her sorrow and pain.  Tara and her husband, Bryan, moved back to Denver, Colorado in 2007 to be close to her family and the community who knew and loved Matt.  In 2008, Tara and Bryan became proud parents of their daughters, Selecia and Adalea, through the Denver County foster-to-adopt program.  After a year and a half of being a full-time mom, Tara was ready to deepen her yoga practice.  With the loving support of Bryan and her family, Tara completed the 265-hour Contemplative Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program with Karin Bustamante and Hansa Knox at PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala in Denver.  Through the wise counsel of many, Tara found a way to combine her background in grief research done for her Master's Thesis, her personal grief experience, and her love and appreciation for the practice of Hatha Yoga.  Thus was born Grace Grief Yoga.  Tara continues to practice yoga as a way to tend to her grief surrounding her fertility journey of nine years, including two miscarriages.  She believes in the power of yoga to bring moments of healing during this often painful and confusing ride.
