Dementia Care Consortium Meeting, Nov. 14, 2013 

At the DCC quarterly meetings, professionals in the dementia care field have the opportunity to network with one another, visit and tour a dementia facility or other center, and learn from expert presenters on dementia-related topics.

Parkinsonism and Dementia: The Connection Between Movement and Thinking  
Shawn F. Smyth, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist, fellowship trained in movement disorders and behavioral neurology. He works at the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center of Maryland, a clinic affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. 

Vision and Alzheimer's Disease: Research and Implications for Practice
Elizabeth Couser, M.S.W., is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has professional experience in the direct care and social work fields across many geriatric health care settings.

One Category I social work continuing education credit is offered at each meeting. Breakfast is provided.
