Reducing the Risk of Basement Flooding, presented by Dan Sandink
 Dan Sandink has been Manager of Resilient Communities and Research at ICLR since 2008. Dan's work at ICLR has focussed on urban and riverine flood risk reduction, wildland fire, public risk perceptions and climate change adaptation. Dan is a graduate of the geography and planning programs at the Universities of Guelph, Western Ontario and Toronto.
 
High Performance Envelopes for 2017, presented by Andy Goyda 

Andy Goyda is the Market Development Manager for Owens Corning Canada.  He is currently one of the leads for Owens Corning Canada's NRCan ecoEnergy Innovation Initiative project where we will see five builders in four provinces build Net Zero Communities of a minimum five homes.  Andy and Owens Corning Canada was presented with the EnerQuality 2012 Industry Partner of the Year award recognizing Andy's work and signifies the strong relationships that Andy has developed with leaders in the industry and the value that he delivers.

Drain Water Heat Recovery, presented by Gerald Van Decker (P.Eng., M.A.Sc.)
Gerald Van Decker is the Founder and CEO of RenewABILITY Energy Inc. Gerald is the Power-PipeŽ inventor and driver for the successful expansion of the DWHR market within North America. He left his position at NRCan in July 2000 to start the business. While at NRCan Gerald was involved in R&D activities in Active Solar Technologies. He participated in International Energy Agency (IEA) tasks in the Solar Heating and Cooling Program.  Gerald also contributed to early stage development of large cell honeycomb translucent insulation used in the highly successful SoleraŽ and was Research Engineer for Edgetech I.G., manufacturers of the SuperSpacerŽ.  He also worked in Sweden for the R&D arm of Sweden's largest Power Utility conducting Solar Water Heating R&D.  Gerald holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor's Degree in Systems Design Engineering both from the University of Waterloo in Canada.  He is a Professional Engineer registered in the province of Ontario.

The following terms and conditions apply to all buildABILITY seminars
Cancellation Policy:
If you have not cancelled yourself from a seminar within 48 hours or less prior to the workshop and you didn’t show up you will be charged a full fee.
If you need to cancel yourself from a seminar and it is 48 hours or less you will be able to send someone else from your organization.
A full refund of the paid amount (less $50 + HST Administration Fee) will be issued for cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to the seminar. (Cancellations must be received by phone or email)
Rescheduling, relocating, or cancelling events is at the discretion of buildABILITY. Should this happen: we will provide a notice 5 days prior to the seminar, you will not be charged.
