Illinois Manufacturers' Association Event: Concealed Carry Update 

In July, Illinois became the last state in the nation with a concealed carry law allowing individuals to possess handguns in public. The law change resulted from a federal court ruling that found Illinois' laws unconstitutional because they limited a citizen's 2nd Amendment rights to carry and conceal a firearm. The new law adds a workplace dimension for employers who will have to make the decision about whether to allow oncealed carry on their property and where firearms may legally be stored. Rules and regulations addressing the workplace component are forthcoming and present a "must learn" for emloyers concerned about the impact of the law.
