LAAF is a local nonprofit organization representing those individuals and families affected by Angelman Syndrome (AS). AS is a rare neuro-genetic disorder characterized by severe intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Those with AS, known as "Angels" require lifelong care.

In 2004, LAAF purchased 20 acres of land (Phase I) for the future site of "Halo Farm Complex", a recreational, residential and respite facility for those with AS and similar disabilities. Through amazing sponsorship, fundraising and donations Phase I is complete--the mortgage is paid off!  LAAF is now raising funds for Phase II--the groundbreaking and development of the Recreation Center of the complex.
