Join us for an Introduction to Federal Contracting, in partnership with the University of Virginia | SCPS and Marymount University. Perfect for people who are just starting out in the U.S. Government contracting space!

New to the contracting field or just to federal contracting? Do you want to understand how the government and contractor initiate, manage, and terminate a contract? Do you want to understand how all the parts fit together to be successful in this marketplace? Or, are you interested to see how far you can advance your career with contracting courses, a Procurement and Contracting certificate, or a Master's degree in Management?

Join us Friday, October 11th in Reston for an Introduction to Federal Contracting, in partnership with the University of Virginia SCPS and Marymount University.

Course Description:

PC 4220: Federal Government Contracting: A Contractor's Perspective
Covers marketing and sales, pre-RFP work, RFP analysis, technical proposal preparation, management and cost proposal preparation, government site visits, audits, negotiations, contract start-up, performance, and contract shut-down.

We are holding this event at Marymount University's Reston location, not at our normal location in Chantilly. Directions are on the left side of this email.
We are giving our chapter members an exclusive opportunity to register before opening the event to the local NCMA general membership and non-members. Due to the limited seating at the University of Marymount Reston location, we can only accept the first 32 registrations so register quickly!

About the Presenter:

Our guest lecturer is Dr. Mary Ann Wangemann, Adjunct Professor and Procurement & Contract Management Program Director at the University of Virginia. Dr. Wangemann will draw from her 30+ years in the field to present both sides of the contracting equation and convey time tested principles and strategies to excel in today's resource constrained environment.

Registration is only $35 and includes breakfast!

This event is not part of our World Congress 2014 contest.

If you have any questions about the event or have any problems registering, please email us at info@ncmabd.org. Our event cancellation policy is located here.
