5th Annual Summit on Financial Education

Showing Results & Telling Your Story

Welcome to MFEC's 5th Annual Summit on Financial Education: Showing Results & Telling Your Story. Check out a preview of our agenda for the day. In addition to informative, and sometimes entertaining, workshops, interactive activities for networking include:

  • "Networking Bingo" to help you get to know your colleagues work
  • "Text Polls" on Financial Ed activities across the state
  • Self-Guided Credit For Life Fairs during workshop sessions
  • Optional registrant photos posted on a projected map of MA, to represent your location

and so much more! We will have a resource table available again, for those who would like to bring materials from their organizations to share. Be prepared to move around and participate throughout the day!

Like last year, the MFEC Annual Member Meeting will follow the Summit. Attending members will submit nominations for the 2013 Steering Committee and will be entered in a raffle for an iPAD, courtesy of member organization, Financial Planning Association of MA! In January 2013, elected members will join the 2012 Steering Committee members for the remainder of their three year terms.

Nominations will be accepted for individuals and organizations in the following sectors:

  • Not-for-Profit
  • Financial Institutions/Financial Planning Organization
  • Government/Quasi- Government agencies
  • Educators ( private or public)
  • Independent Financial Education Advocates

MFEC is a member-driven collaborative. The MFEC mission is to inspire financial confidence in Commonwealth residents of every age, gender and socio-economic status through accessible, high quality, outcomes-oriented financial education services and wealth-building opportunities, with support from private, public, not-for-profit, and civic sectors.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else to the MFEC Steering Committee, please fill out the Nomination Form and send it to MFEC Steering Committee Clerk Patricai Walsh (pwalsh@capecodfive.com) by 5 PM on November 25, 2013 for the online election in December.

You must be an MFEC member to vote in the Steering Committe election and to participate in the iPad raffle. Become a member by filling out this easy two minute survey.
