2013 Advanced Facilitator Seminar:

Transfer, Metaphor, and the Appreciative Facilitator 

This three day workshop will enhance your ability to design and facilitate effective adventure-based learning experiences that achieve your program’s desired outcomes. You will explore the role of the appreciative facilitator and develop strategies for engaging your participants in positive focused change. You will improve your own facilitation skills by learning new strategies and activities for framing, frontloading and developing metaphors that further the transfer of learning in adventure activities. You will become more effective at designing curriculum and programs that work by gaining a better understanding of underlying theory and research. 

 The workshop blends theory presentations, with hands on opportunities to experience activities and processing techniques. This workshop is open to experienced facilitators including previous participants in our Facilitating Adventure Based Learning workshop.
