Self Care for the Helper: a 6 week Restorative Yoga Class Series (Individual class sign ups possible)

Are you a helper who continuously gives to others through your work or livelihood? Have you noticed the impact your work has on your emotional and physical body? Is it a challenge to dedicate time to your own self care? This 6-week restorative yoga class series is a great opportunity to nourish yourself, slow down, and prioritize your own self care. Come be part of our self care movement!

The classes will combine mindfulness, relaxing yoga asana, and breath work practices as a way for participants to de-stress and connect more deeply with their bodies and hearts. Optional journaling and opportunity for reflection will be interwoven throughout the experience. Anyone working in a health, mental health, or wellness-related field, including doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, case workers, teachers, caregivers, massage therapists, and holistic practitioners, etc., are encouraged to attend.

Restorative yoga is a gentle practice where the body is completely supported by props and a peaceful environment to allow deep relaxation and rejuvenation.Through initiating the parasympathetic nervous system, the body restores, renews, and heals from the effects of chronic stress. These classes will allow your body to experience deep relaxation and the mind to experience quiet, bringing your mental, physical, psychological, and emotional bodies into balance.

This series will take place 6 consecutive Friday evenings from 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at The Arlington Center in Arlington, MA. (Dates: 10/11, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22). Space is limited. Please register below to hold your spot for the dates you are interested in.
