The Matrix with Trauma Memories

Come start learning this elegant yet powerful way of quickly changing a person's relationship with trauma memories toward valued living. You will learn how to set up the Matrix and rapidly and effectively engage people with their trauma memories in minutes.

Who is this Webinar for? Students and Professionals who work with people struggling with trauma memories. This is especially good for people who have had trouble engaging people with Prolonged Exposure or Cognitive Processing Therapy. This approach offers a much gentler, non-judgmental approach to chaning relationships with trauma memories.

What wil you learn? You will learn how to quickly set up the Matrix (the core ACT point of view) such that people can start changing toward increased valued living in minutes.

  • You will learn how to assign homework that always gets done,
  • You will learn how to review the homework with a powerful verbal and visual technique called "sorting,"
  • You will start the process of learning how to respond with increased psychological flexibility from moment to moment.

This is unique in that you can start using what you learn right away. The matrix process is very "forgiving", so even when you are just starting out and clumsy with it, the process works very well.

Steve Hayes, co-founder of ACT says, “The Matrix opens the door to ACT in a way that is direct, simple, and useful. Kevin is not just its developer: he a master in its use. He lays down a great foundation for a more psychologically flexible approach to life and work.”

Kevin Polk, Ph.D. has spent over 20 thousand hours learning and teaching ACT. He has been called the "The Secretary of Explaining Stuff" (ACT). He has done over 100 in-person trainings and close to 300 webinars. He is the co-editor of The ACT Matrix book that will be published March 1, 2014 by New Harbinger.
