The Washington Council of Lawyers is pleased to host a two-hour brown bag litigation skills training session focused on the skills, laws, and best practices for delivering effective opening statements. Through lecture and demonstration, we will review the essential elements of presenting an opening statement that will help win your case.

We are delighted to feature as our lecturers:

  • Brandi Harden, Harden & Pinckney PLLC
  • Heather Pinckney, Harden & Pinckney PLLC

During the second half of the training, you will be on your feet to deliver an opening statement and to receive feedback from experienced litigators.

Our talented faculty members include:

  • Evelyn Becker
  • Dorene Haney
  • Brandi Harden
  • Mary Kennedy
  • Robin C. Murphy
  • Heather Pinckney
  • Daria Zane

Materials for the training will be sent via email at least one week prior to the training.

This program has been approved for MCLE credit in CA (1.75 hours general credit) and NY (2.0 hours of skills) MCLE credit is pending in VA. In past years, similar programs have been accredited in VA, however MCLE credit currently is not guaranteed. We expect that attendees in all other MCLE jurisdictions will be able to submit their own application for approval or, if appropriate, submit the New York certificate for reciprocity.

Get ready to deliver a phenomenal opening statement!
