Robin

Robin Fann-Costanzo, 2012 inductee into the World Massage hall of fame, has been working at the Esalen Institute and internationally since 1992 as an Esalen massage practitioner, massage instructor, and registered yoga teacher. In addition to Esalen massage, Robin brings a lifeltime of experience in dance and has extensive training in craniosacral therapy, somatoemotional release, gestalt therapy, life coaching and 5Rhythms dance. Her love for learning and teaching led her to help create the Esalen teacher's training program, and develop many continuing education programs taught at Esalen and in Asheville, NC. She is also featured in the Esalen massage DVD. Robin now lives in Asheville, NC with her husband and two daughters. (www.esaleninstructor.com).

Ellen Watson is celebrating her 25th year on staff at Esalen Institute, where she studies, practices, and teaches various modalities of moving meditation practice. A licensed minister, Ellen believes that the core of all healing begins in the realm of the heart and the Spirit. Among her great pleasures are opening the door for people to dance, to sing and play and pray, to touch and be touched. She is passionate about spreading the good news about how waking up can heal and transform the mind, body and soul. Ellen is a teacher of Esalen� Massage, Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms™, Holotropic™ Breathwork, SpiritDance, The Art of Essential Touch, and Your Body is a Musical Instrument. From 1984 through 2003, Ellen developed and administered the Movement Arts Program at Esalen. In 1996, she founded MovingVentures™ School, a 501c3, whose mission is education in the somatic arts, focusing on women and men in developing countries, and the southern USA. MovingVentures™ faculty offer workshops, retreats, and trainings at Esalen, in Bali, and at other inspiring locations around the globe.

Esalen� Massage 100 hour Certification Program

for certified Massage therapists only

Dear Friends,

We are excited and honored to be able to offer an Esalen Massage Certification Program here on the east coast in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. This training is available to certified massage and bodywork practitioners, and offers 100 CE hours taught in two modules. We will provide a deep understanding of the spirit and principles of Esalen massage, and enable you to become a certified Esalen Massage Practitioner.

Esalen Massage began at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA in the 1960's, and grew out of the human potential movement, the work of Charlotte Selver (sensory awareness), and Fritz Pearls (gestalt awareness practices).

Esalen Massage is unique in that it stresses the importance of the practitioners relationship with him/herself and the quality of presence he/she brings to the therapeutic massage. It is comprised of approaches which draw from many of the great pioneers of bodywork who taught at the Esalen Institute, and will be presented as a form of somatic learning and a meditation for both giver and receiver.

Esalen is know for it's very experiential approach to teaching and learning. Through present touch, movement, and meditation we will explore the integration of body, mind, and spirit. Experiential learning classes will enable students to develop a balance between technique, intuition, and creativity.

The daily schedule includes lessons in:

*experiential anatomy and kinesiology

*self care for bodyworkers

*awareness practices

*massage demonstrations

*supervised massage practice sessions

*experiential ethics (6 hours) and pathology

*the most current trends in Esalen Massage and somatic bodywork

*group facilitation

This training is designed to be deeply transformational and will give you tools for awakening your senses and bringing more awareness to your massage practice and your life. It is for certified massage & bodywork practitioners wanting to deepen their bodywork practice and add the Esalen approach to their work.

Following the satisfactory completion of this program, students wishing to complete the certification process will have 6 months to document massage sessions. Upon payment of a $150 processing fee, an Esalen Massage & Bodywork Certificate will be issued.

The fee for this 16 day training is $2975 and includes lunch each day of class. Register with full tuition payment before January 31st and automatically receive a $275 discount.

We are also offering payment in three installments of $990 each. The first payment is due with registration. The second payment will be due on December 1st and the final payment is due on March 1st.

Payments may be made using a credit card (PayPal) or by check. Your tuition payments are fully refundable, less a $150 processing fee, before March 15, 2014.
