Recipient of the 2004 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring, and the 2011 Harvard Foundation Scientist of the Year Award. These awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to mentoring students and increasing the participation of minorities, women and disabled students in science, mathematics and engineering. Currently Dr. Wasburne is a Regents' Professor of Biology at the University of New Mexico. |
