Data Entry is Not a Dirty Word:
Lessons Learned from an A/E/C Database Junky

When you build a proposal, do you go to your last submittal? Do you know how your lead time affects your proposal win ratio? How busy your marketing staff will be next month? Do you constantly find that you have multiple versions of the same data? Do you have a database that doesn’t get used effectively? Or do you struggle with consistency, processes, and finding the “numbers” on a project?

A/E/C marketers know all too well the never-ending cycle of keeping project description information updated, formatting staff resumes for consistency across multiple offices, and creating a marketing information system that actually works.

Stacey Ho, MBA, CPSM, has one simple motto, “data entry is NOT a dirty word,” and her mission is to show you how marketing organization and automation can be extremely powerful when used for good.  As a former professional services marketer, she too feared the data entry. Later she dumped her fear, dove in and loved it so much she turned into a database geek. Now she helps other firms and marketing teams successfully implement CRM/Marketing information systems with her teammates at Full Sail Partners. In this workshop, Stacey will give you tips to help get you started, share lessons learned, and offer tips or tools you can use to go from those dirty words of “data entry” to coveting your marketing information as the intellectual capital that it is.

Topics covered include:

  • Software Selection
  • Multi-Group Collaboration
  • Scheduling and Implementation
  • Combining Technology, People, and Process
  • Internal Communication/PR
  • Achieving Results and Sustaining Momentum
  •

About the Speaker: Stacey Ho, MBA, CPSM is a crazy right, and left brain, former marketer turned database geek. She is passionate about the power of data, loves to help firms elevate marketing through improved information management, and strongly believes that data entry is NOT a dirty word. She recently joined Full Sail Partners, a Deltek preferred provider as a CRM consultant and as the past SMPS Oregon president she regularly drinks the SMPS Kool-Aid and is constantly seeking out others to join her.
