Participants will learn how to start their buisness off on the right foot by developing a start up plan and a business plan.

  • How to evaluate if family child care is the right business to begin
  • Components of a start-up plan – legal issues, regulatory issues, and start-up costs
  • Components of a business plan – marketing, insurance, program professional development, record keeping,  and finances
  • Budgeting
