This will be one of our most important Fall Retreats ever. Ballou Channing District (BCD) Executive, Rev. Bill Zelazny, will lead the workshop. This year the theme will be "New Ministry Start-Up."
Rev. Bill plans to guide us through a series of discussions and exercises, including a review of our congregational heritage to see how it informs our present and future; a discussion of what is expected of Rev. Kristin, our half-time Consulting Minister, and what she can expect of us; delineation of areas of minister and leadership responsibilities; and a discussion of "Wings and Chains", i.e., what holds us back and what makes us take flight. In addition, Rev. Kristin will give an overview of this year's Visioning Process.
Our work together during this retreat will form a firm foundation upon which to build great ministerial and congregational relations.
The Executive Committee and Rev. Kristin ask all committee chairpersons to participate. While the retreat focuses on leadership topics, anyone interested in what our new half-time ministry will look like is encouraged to attend - whether or not you consider yourself a present, past, or future leader.
Beverages and coffee break snacks will be provided. Please bring your own bagged lunch.
