Hélène Berr, A Stolen Life Exhibition from Mémorial de la Shoah, Paris France
From April 1942 to February 1944, Hélène Berr kept a diary on a daily basis which combined the everyday experience of the unbearable and the dream world of literature, before her deportation in March 1944. This document of an exceptional quality gives a unique image of a young French girl brutally cast away from society during the German occupation in Paris.
