Healing experience for families of
fallen service members
Southern Pines, North Carolina
Leap of Faith is a two day seminar/growth experience for family members who have lost a loved one while serving on active duty. On day one, Dr. Doug Mckinley will lead sessions on living "life after loss" with some new and different insights on grief and the grieving process. Small group interaction will also be part of the day.
Day two and three will combine group interaction with experiences designed to stimulate awareness and perspective for the participants role in their "new normal". Experiences include theraupeutic equine interaction and optional literal "leap of faith" in the form of a tandem sky dive with the All Veterans Parachute Team. The team, led by former US Army Golden Knights Team Leader Mike Elliott and consisting of many former Army Golden Knights is dedicated to the healing of family members as well as the combat injured veteran. The jump is intended to help participants address areas of fear, letting go and committing to living life fully.
Additional activities will focus on sharing, learning from each other and spending time with other Family members in a safe and understanding environment.
This seminar is limited to 12 jumpers and will be filled in order of registration. (Jump spots are limited to immediate family members only). Each jumper is encouraged to attend with a support person (the support person can also be a jumper). At this time we can only allow two jumpers per family so that as many families as possible may participate.
A registration fee of $55.00 per person holds your spot and will be refunded upon your arrival. Hotel, meals, seminar, seminar materials, activities, jump, video and shirt are provided by OSOT-America.
Seminar attendees are responsible for flights. ***
*Please register each attendee seperately.
