CAPACITY BUILDING FOR GROWTH

This workshop will help small, local businesses develop core business skills to scale their companies, as well as learn how to secure contracts from large local corporations.  Designed with the goal of increasing small business activity in the greater Springfield area, participants will also have the opportunity to meet the procurement officers from several of the region’s large corporations, including Baystate Health, Big Y, MassMutual and others!

Capacity Building for Growth is a two-day workshop which will focus on core business skills, capacity building, and how to become a vendor to a big company – local and beyond.  The content, delivered by national experts at Next Street, Inc.,  will include:

-          Business Development & Networking
-          Action Planning
-          Workshop Exclusive: Meet the Procurement Officers

$295 registration fee includes breakfast and lunch and all materials . A 10% discount is available for a variety of business support organizations including ACCGS, Amherst Area Chamber, Chicopee Chamber, Franklin County Chamber, Holyoke Chamber, MA Latino Chamber, National Association of Minority Contractors / New England, Northampton Chamber, Urban League of Springfield, Northampton Chamber, WMNTMA, Common Capital clients, and Business Growth Center Affiliates (MSBDC, NEBA BDC, SBA, and SCORE).  Please contact the appropriate organization for the requried discount code.

Session dates will be in the fall, likely in October, but are still tentative.  In the event of severe snow, sessions will be held the following Thursday.

A special Procurement Officer Networking event will occur at the conclusion of the program.
