Ready, Set, Grow.... Winter Garden Seminar 

Registration is open for the upcoming “Ready, Set, Grow” Winter Garden Seminar.  The
day-long event will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.  This seminar is sponsored by the Eau Claire Area Master Gardener Volunteer Association. 

The keynote speaker is Bill Hogseth.  Bill is a DNR Wildlife Biologist and founder of the TPE Chapter and the Chippewa Savannas Prairie Enthusiasts.  His morning presentation will be
“Putting the Pieces Together, Preserving the Chippewa Valley Eco-System".  Participants will
have a choice of presentations in three breakout sessions during the morning and afternoon featuring speakers topics on Preserving the Environment, Space limitations in Gardening, Wild Edibles, Invasive Species, Growing Strawberries and Blueberries, Landscaping with Ornamental Grasses, Effects of the Recent Drought, Growing Herbs, and the New Trends in 2014 in Gardening.

The event will also include lunch and snacks, many door prizes, and local vendors.
