The Louisiana SHRM State Council invites you to attend the 2014 Louisiana Conference on Human Resources April 7th - 8th at the Baton Rouge River Center. The annual conference provides opportunities for engaging educational sessions and network building activities in a professional setting with more than 400 HR professionals from across the state.

CONFERENCE DETAILS:

The Louisiana Conference on Human Resources offers:

three general sessions and six concurrent session blocks with the opportunity to earn 11.25 HR Certification Institute recertification credits;
the HR Solutions Center Exhibit Hall, including a Grand Opening Reception on Sunday April 6th;
and a conference night social at Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's (3rd Street).

2014 CONFERENCE ADDITIONS:

The 2014 Conference will also offer an optional pre-conference workshop for those looking to maximize your conference experience. The pre-conference workshop will provide an additional 2.75 hours of Business recertification credit from the HR Certification Institute.

PRE CONFERENCE WORKSHOP DETAILS:

On Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 1 pm - 4 pm start your conference experience with Salima Nathoo as she conducts a workshop, "Raising the HR Game: Secrets from the Innovation Playbook."

Discover ways to incorporate innovative thinking and collaborative learning into day-to-day HR activities. Key takeaways include: influence organizational behaviors to support a culture of authenticity and collaboration, understand the fundamentals of social and emotional intelligence and how it relates to leadership efficacy, and recognize how the adult learning principles of informal and social knowledge acquisition can enhance workplace learning.
