On December 3rd, you are cordially invited to the final event in our 2013 Professional Artists' Salon Series - a series of talks by professional artists who make a living in the world of art. If you would like to become a full time working artist, come and find out how these artists have achieved their dream.
Internationally acclaimed photographer Michael Llewellyn went from a courtesy clerk with no art background to working for national magazines within 6 years. His work has appeared in Time, Esquire, Outside, Men’s Journal, National Geographic, Fortune, Popular Science, Entertainment Weekly, Greenpeace, Rolling Stone and many more.
He has photographed Fortune 500 CEO’s, celebrities including Wynton Marsalis, Rodney Dangerfield, Dana Carvey, Gene Wilder, Rosie O'Donnell, music groups Rage against the Machine, Van Halen, and K.D. Lang - just to name a few.
His innovative work, widely acknowledged for its unique style and technical excellence by his peers, has garnered awards from Communication Arts, Graphis, AIGA, Kodak International, Hasselblad, American Photography, Photo District News, Applied Arts, Uber Morgan, Blad and the British Journal of Photography.
In his presentation, Michael will address:
